If you’re wondering what to cook for Lent, here are my favorite 10 recipes for Lent! It’s a Christian tradition for prayer, fasting, and giving up meat to enjoy fresh vegetables, fruits, beans, lentils, nuts, and seeds. You won’t miss a thing with these delicious recipes!

Recipes for Lent

From Greek Lagana Bread, typically served on clean Monday, through several amazing vegan meal options to your choice of dessert, this list will have you mix and matching during and after Lent. You’ll need the Lagana bread to soak up every drop of delicious sauce from my Arakas Laderos, Potato stew, and Black-eyed pea soup or to not miss a morsel of my Bulgar and Lentil Mujadara.

For easy rice dishes, try my protein-packed Lenti Rice or lemony, herby Spanakorizo. You can serve them both as a main dish or alongside crispy, homemade falafel. And don’t worry about having to miss dessert. I’ll show you how to turn my delicious vegan semolina pudding into a soft, warm-spiced Greek Halvas cake or turn classic Greek butter cookies into delicious vegan koulourakia. I can’t wait for you to try these!
