I finally made this dreamy sauce to go with a dessert I’ve been dying to make: profiteroles with bueno sauce. Bueno cream is the white chocolate version of Nutella and is really popular in Greece and Europe. If you’ve ever had a Kinder Bueno bar, it’s the creamy sauce found inside. It became a common sauce used over ice cream and many other desserts. My homemade version is a little richer and thicker because I love the hazelnut flavor, but you could add more white chocolate if you’d like it a little lighter.  I can’t wait for you to try this and make it a staple in your home!

Is it really only three ingredients?
Hazelnut butter -You can find it in the International section of the grocery store near the Italian products or sometimes near the Nutella and other hazelnut spreads. Here’s one of my favorite brands that I get on Amazon.
White chocolate -I like to use these Belgian white callets by Callebaut. The chocolate is cleaner and made with milk from grazing cows and sugar from sugar beets. It’s delicious and creamy. Use your favorite white chocolate or the best one you can find.

How do I melt the chocolate?
Place the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl and melt it using the double boiler method (set the bowl over a pot of simmering water) or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
When do I add the hazelnut butter?
Remove the melted white chocolate from the heat and stir in the hazelnut butter until fully combined and smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract, mixing well to incorporate.
What’s the best way to store my homemade Kinder Bueno sauce?
Store the sauce in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

How do I use the sauce?
I like to warm it gently before serving so it drizzles easily and doesn’t cool a deliciously warm dessert. However, it’s perfect at room temperature for ice cream, yogurt, or dipping fruit. Honestly, it’s just hard not to eat it right off the spoon.
