A very elegant dessert that can be served all year round. This recipe is made with ladyfingers, but it can be made more decadent with pound cake instead. Use your favorite fruits or berries to make it a perfect dessert for two or for a party!
Oh, my dear chocolate, how much I love you! Let me count the ways..... This is definitely one of the ways I love to eat chocolate. My favorite kind of chocolate is Belgian, Callebaut. Hands down, it's awesome! I love keeping things simple without EVER compromising flavor...
Here's another quick and very easy recipe that uses one of my favorite ingredients: frozen puff pastry. It's flavorful, flaky and amazingly easy to prepare.
This is the Greek version of Spaghetti and meatballs. I don't always serve my souzoukakia with spaghetti. I prefer crusty Italian bread and a nice salad. My mom made them with potatoes. I love eating them that way!
3/4 cup mayo
juice of 1 small lemon
1 cup couscous, cooked
2 tablespoons lemon zest
1 (7 ounce) can of tuna fish, drained
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup fresh basil, thinly sliced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
To cook the couscous: Bring 1 and 1/4 cup of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 cup couscous. Turn the heat off and cover the pot for 5 minutes. Fluff the couscous with a fork.
Combine the mayo, lemon juice, olive oil and whisk well to combine.
Put all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and toss to combine. Taste and add more salt and pepper if needed.
Homemade whipped cream is SO easy to make!! There is absolutely no excuse not to make it. That nasty stuff, which will remain nameless, sold in the freezer section is NOT, I repeat NOT whipped cream. There is no cream in it!! Can you tell how passionate I am about this?
Making yogurt at home is much easier than you think! All you need are 2 ingredients: milk and a few tablespoons of yogurt. That's it!!
This has been our family's go to birthday cake for the past 10 years. Seriously, it's the BEST chocolate chip cookie cake EVER!!! Those syrupy, overly sweet, yucky cookie cakes sold at the mall should be exiled forever....
Hi, I'm Dimitra and welcome to my blog! Here, I'll teach you just how much fun and easy it is to please a crowd with my versions of Greek classics. Kali Orexi as we say in Greek!
